A first-person view. A human contribution.

How it works

Four steps, on your own phone.

  1. Sign up with your email.

We email a one-time code. Then read the privacy notice and sign the recording consent. That is the whole sign-up.

  2. Choose a project and read its guide.

Each project has its own tasks, recording rules and accepted-minute rate. The guide shows how to mount the phone and what a good recording looks like.

  3. Record one task from beginning to end.

The app sets the camera for the project, checks your phone before you start and reminds you to keep both hands in the frame. Uploads wait for Wi-Fi unless you choose otherwise.

  4. See how you did and get paid for accepted work.

Every video gets quality results you can learn from. Accepted minutes add to your earnings, paid weekly once your payment details are on file.

What makes a good recording

Clear, complete and private.

Hands in view

Mount the phone securely so both hands and the things you work with stay in the picture. Never hold the phone while using tools.

One whole task

Work naturally in good light, in one continuous recording. No cuts, edits or speeding up.

People and information protected

Record only where you have permission. No other people, no faces in mirrors or screens, no mail, ID or personal details. Stop if someone enters.

Your phone

What you need

  • An Android phone (Android 9 or newer) with a rear camera that records 1080p at 30 frames per second.
  • A head or chest mount, as the project guide asks.
  • Free storage for your recordings and Wi-Fi to send them.
  • Each project lists its own requirements; the app tells you whether your phone qualifies.

Deleting your account does not delete submitted recordings.

Recordings you submit, and their associated data, are kept for project review and approved research use even if you later delete your account. Read the privacy notice before you sign up.
